Home Automation: What does the future hold?
Home automation now it is a technology that we know has changed and will not stop changing ever to be honest. It is one of those things that as long as technology stays on its course it will only get better and more sophisticated as the time moves on. Therefore people probably wonder where exactly it will be years from now. A lot of folks have let pop culture influence their perception of technology and the future. Now while it is interesting to see that some things that we have been in the movies have had an eerie coincidence with real life, for instance sci-fi characters from the 60s using hand communicators. Something like this was the precursor to the cell phone for instance.
So the future of home automation holds so many different possibilities that you just could not believe if you just stand there without thinking. You just have to look at history and see how things like electricity was able to be controlled and used to provide power. People living years prior to this discovery scoffed at the idea of many of the automatic accessories that we rely heavily upon today. The one thing that has to be understood is that these things take time. Therefore it is incorrect to consider the world of sci-fi to be complete and utter fantasy all the time.
But the one thing you can't do is hinge how fast and easy fiction makes these things look. After all we are nearly ten years into the new decade and cars and buildings do not look all that different from when they did ten years ago for instance. It is all a work in progress so do not worry your house is not going to turn into something off of a science fiction movie right away. However when that day comes and it can provide you with all the comforts and frills you want it will be a special one. It will definitely not having over night but home automation is the future.
It will take care of many of your most basic tasks and will become more common as time goes. As you can see with other technology once it proves to be more accessible to people who can buy into it. From there evolutionary changes will occur and while they may not be spot on with something the nature of Star Trek for instance it will indeed have a different look and feel than what we are accustomed to at this moment.
That is just the nature of the beast and home automation is no different from any other process once it gets going and finds a rhythm it is only going to get better and better nothing else will be able to compare to it plain and simple. Think of how awesome it will be to have a home that will do basically everything for you that you should not always have to stress about. So the future definitely holds a lot for automated technology and it is not slowing down.
